Here, Children Are the Captains of Adventure
In the very heart of the sailing festival, a colorful port comes to life – ruled by the youngest. The Children’s Zone is a land full of adventures – from performances and dance workshops, through creative animations and sporting challenges, to illusion shows where reality suddenly becomes magical. Here, children can become captains of their own ships, explorers of maritime secrets, and heroes of stories filled with smiles.
Near the Mickiewicz Monument, a dream port has emerged, where laughter flows like waves and imagination sails from one attraction to the next. One moment, little pirates and sailors race on miniature obstacle courses on bikes; the next, they’re throwing frisbees or playing badminton, racing against the wind. At the stands, animators invite kids to agility games, while face painting transforms them into mermaids, captains, and explorers. Illusion shows spark wonder and joy, while in the arts & crafts zones, paper tall ships, nautical decorations, and paintings of stormy seas are created.
Across the Oder, next to the iconic Cranes, awaits the ZWiK Fun Fountain – a zone where water takes center stage. Here, young explorers can take part in experiments, learn how water purification works, and even join competitions and ecological activities. It’s a place where education meets fun. The crazy scientist shows with water and nitrogen amaze the audience, proving that physics and chemistry can be discovered in a new, fascinating way. Here, every drop turns into an ocean of knowledge.
Just a few steps further, at the WOŚP Square in Łasztownia, a real battle unfolds… with ping-pong balls. The tables invite children and adults alike to play. Nearby, funfairs lure with carousels, trains, games, and a giant Ferris wheel offering a stunning view of the sea of sails and lively boulevards. For children who prefer slightly less extreme thrills, trampolines and inflatable castles await at the foot of the Chrobry Embankment.
For parents, these zones are the perfect opportunity to see their children’s joy in many forms – from creative play, through sporting excitement, to learning by experience. And although each zone has its own character, they are all united by one thing – a child’s smile that brightens the sailing celebration.
