The Szczecin-Shanty Stage: music, wind, and a unique atmosphere

In just a few days, lovers of maritime vibes will meet at the Shanty-Folk Stage at Żagle 2026. Ahead of us are evenings filled with sailing and folk music, featuring the unique atmosphere of gatherings for people in love with water, wind, and freedom.

The Szczecin-Shanty Stage will be a place for concerts, sing-alongs, sailing stories, and encounters with music inspired by the sea and maritime culture.

The program has been prepared both for those who know this genre perfectly and for those who want to discover it for the first time. Alongside traditional sea shanties, there will be original compositions, modern sounds, and folk music. There will also be attractions for the youngest, prepared by the KLANG band.

• Friday, August 14 (The Szczecin Stage): The festival music will be complemented by the Szczecin Stage, showcasing local artists and bands. Performing will be: Blue Bossa, Różanek / Sawaszkiewicz, Jackpot Trio, Voice & Sound Collective, Sklep z Ptasimi Piórami, Nadmiar, and Witchen. It will be an opportunity to meet Szczecin creators and experience the diversity of the local music scene.
• Saturday, August 15 (The Shanty-Folk Stage): Performing will be KLANG, Sedinum Celticum, Witold Konopka, Folk Wagon, IGA’cki Band, North Cape, EKT Gdynia, the Men’s Shanty Choir from Tønsberg (Norway), and Queen Anne’s Revenge. On this day, there will also be Irish dance workshops, a Scottish bagpipe show, and a special program for children and adults.
• Sunday, August 16: The audience will hear: DAIR, Sedinum Celticum, Ryczące Dwudziestki, The Nierobbers, Queen Anne’s Revenge, and Stary Szmugler. The Sunday program will bring another dose of Celtic music, shanties, and folk sounds, as well as an opportunity to jointly conclude the musical part of the festival. Also on Sunday, we will have a unique opportunity to hear a concert by the Zawisza Czarny Men’s Shanty Choir performed directly from the deck of the Kapitan Borchardt sailing ship.

The Szczecin Stage and the Folk-Shanty Stage will serve as a musical complement to the concerts taking place on the main stage. It is an offer for those who want to pause for a moment, listen to good music, and feel the atmosphere of a port city during one of the largest events organized in the very heart of Szczecin.
