The history of Albert Johannes dates back to 1928, when she left the shipyard as a two-masted schooner with auxiliary motor propulsion. For decades, she served as a cargo vessel, transporting goods between ports of the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. In the 1980s, she underwent a major conversion: a third mast was added, transforming her into an elegant three-masted gaff schooner, adapted for passenger transport.
Today, she is one of the most active training and charter vessels in Northern Europe. Thanks to her stability and spacious deck, Albert Johannes is an excellent place to learn sail handling and to build team spirit under a shared mast.
