Zryw is a Polish single-masted sailing yacht of the Taurus class. She is one of three yachts (along with Dar Szczecina and Urtica) owned by the City of Szczecin.

Zryw was built in 1978 at the Leonid Teliga Maritime Yachting Yard. The yacht was designed by Kazimierz “Kuba” Jaworski and Czesław Gogolkiewicz. Taurus was the name given to the class of yachts they created, with speed as the primary objective. The result of their work was a yacht just under 11 meters in length, incorporating many innovative features for its time.

However, the history of yachts in this class has shown that while they are fast and maneuverable, they demand a high level of skill and intuition from their skippers—especially in difficult weather conditions. The mainsail must be reefed (i.e., its surface area reduced) very quickly, otherwise the yacht becomes so windward that the helmsman may be unable to maintain course. In extreme conditions—and with strong-handed helmsmen—there have even been instances where the rudder was broken (as happened during a storm near Bornholm in 2002).

The yacht celebrates its 45th anniversary in 2023.
