150 drones, 13 symbols of Szczecin, and ideas created by students of Szczecin schools – during Żagle 2026, Friday evening will be illuminated by a unique drone show, the scenario of which was inspired by the youngest residents of the city.
This will be the first such show in Szczecin. As part of the “Szczecin w chmurach” (Szczecin in the clouds) competition, students of Szczecin primary schools prepared designs for 11 figures. The task was simple: they were supposed to refer to the history, identity, and characteristic symbols of Szczecin. Among the submitted works, made using various techniques – from pencil sketches, through colorful cut-outs, to professional graphic designs – there were, among others, crocuses, the “Cranesaurs” (Dźwigozaury), the Pomeranian Dukes’ Castle, and many other symbols of our city.
The team responsible for organizing the show made every effort to reproduce the children’s designs as faithfully as possible. The final effect promises to be impressive. The animations will include maritime motifs, city symbols, and spectacular light compositions that will create an extraordinary spectacle in the night sky.
The show will be synchronized with music, which will additionally emphasize its unique atmosphere and spectacular character. This modern combination of technology, light, and sound will provide the audience with unforgettable emotions. The spectacle will be perfectly visible from the Chrobry Embankment (Wały Chrobrego) and the boulevards.
The technological partner is Astranate – Drone Light Show – a fleet of 1,000 drones performing professional light drone shows both outdoors and indoors.
The show is scheduled for Friday, August 14, at 11:00 PM. In case of bad weather, it will take place on Saturday evening, around 10:00 PM.
