Two-masted schooner Abel Tasman, named after the famous Dutch explorer who was the first European to sail to Tasmania and New Zealand. It was built in 1913 by J.J. Pattje in Waterhuizen using steel and wood. It underwent a much-anticipated refurbishment in 1998. On deck, it can comfortably accommodate 22 passengers and a crew of three for longer voyages. During short excursions, it can take up to 60 passengers on board.
