Joanna Saturna is a true gem of Finnish sailing. This two-masted schooner is one of the oldest sailing ships in the region, and despite the passage of time, she still impresses with her elegance and excellent technical condition.
The story of this vessel began over 120 years ago in the Netherlands, where she was built as an iron fishing lugger. For decades, she served in the hard-working conditions of the North Sea, until in 2000 she came into the hands of a Finnish enthusiast. She then underwent an extraordinary transformation: after three years of meticulous restoration in the port of Turku, she was reborn as a luxurious passenger sailing schooner.
Today, Joanna Saturna combines the rugged character of a historic vessel with modern comfort. Her visit to Szczecin is an opportunity to see how attention to detail can preserve maritime heritage in all its glory.
