ORP “Iskra” is a three-masted sail training barquentine of the Polish Navy, commissioned in 1982. Designed by Zygmunt Choreń, she has been used for more than 40 years to train future naval officers.

The vessel became famous as the first Polish naval ship to circumnavigate the globe. In 1995–1996, she covered nearly 38,000 nautical miles, visiting ports around the world. Over the years, she has taken part in numerous training cruises and regattas, winning prestigious awards.

Since 2024, “Iskra” had been undergoing repairs and modernization. In March 2026, the Nauta Shiprepair Yard S.A. in Gdynia completed intensive work, including hull cleaning and painting, rudder repairs, and an inspection of the propulsion system. The vessel was preparing to return to sea after a long period of renovation.
