Saturday in Szczecin began in a sporty rhythm – hundreds of runners lined up at the start of the Run under the Sails, ready to conquer a scenic route leading through boulevards, bridges, and quays filled with tall ships.
At the starting line, hundreds of participants gathered: professional runners, amateurs, local residents, and visitors to the city. Shoulder to shoulder, they set off from Łasztownia, following a course that led straight through the heart of Szczecin’s sailing festival.
The 5-kilometer route guided them through places that, later in the day, pulse with the energy of the maritime celebration: the boulevards and the pontoon bridge connecting the banks of the Oder. Along the way, runners passed market stalls, music stages, moored vessels, and cheering fans. This was no ordinary loop – it was a true harbor voyage in the rhythm of footsteps, where every participant was the captain of their own ship.
At the finish line, tired but happy runners were welcomed. Children also had their moment to shine – during the Umbriaga the Cat Runs, they dashed across shorter distances, bringing just as much excitement to the cheering crowd.
