Over 40 Years on Stage
In spring 2022, T.Love embarked on a special concert tour to celebrate 40 years on stage. The Polish rock legend returned to performing in its historic lineup from the album King: Muniek Staszczyk (vocals, lyrics), Janek Benedek (guitars, compositions, production), Jacek Perkowski (guitars), Paweł Nazimek (bass), and Sidney Polak (drums).
Musically, T.Love has gone through many phases — starting with punk rock, moving to rock and roll, and even weaving in elements of reggae and pop into their signature songs. Frequent lineup changes influenced the band’s stylistic evolution. Many critics believe the band reached the peak of its creative energy in the current lineup, now joined by Mariusz Nejman on keyboards.
The year 2022 marked a special moment in T.Love’s rock’n’roll story — the band celebrated its 40th anniversary and the 30th anniversary of the iconic album King. That same year saw the release of their long-awaited new album Hau! Hau!, promoted with the singles: Pochodnia (featuring Kasia Sienkiewicz from Kwiat Jabłoni), Ja Ciebie kocham, and Ponura żniwiarka. The album earned Gold certification.
In 2024, the band marked yet another milestone — the 30th anniversary of their hit I Love You. The jubilee tour opened with concerts at Warsaw’s Torwar and Katowice’s Spodek.
De Mono is one of the most recognizable Polish bands, founded in 1984 by Marek Kościkiewicz, with Andrzej Krzywy later joining as lead singer. The band became known for its distinctive style blending pop, rock, soul, and modern electronics.
Their 1989 debut album quickly achieved huge popularity. Its songs remain classics of Polish pop music to this day. Among their biggest hits are Kochać inaczej, Znów jesteś ze mną, and Statki na niebie.
De Mono has released several studio and live albums and performed thousands of concerts in Poland and abroad. The band continues to enjoy lasting popularity thanks to its melodic compositions and timeless lyrics.
The third band to appear on our stage will be Happysad — an alternative rock group founded in 2001 in Skarżysko-Kamienna. Their music is a mix of rock, punk, and reggae, enriched with reflective, often poetic lyrics about emotions, growing up, and everyday life.
Their debut album Wszystko jedno (2004) brought them nationwide fame. Subsequent albums cemented their position on the alternative scene, with their distinctive vocals and emotional delivery earning them a loyal following. Among their best-known songs are Zanim pójdę, Łydka, and Taką wodą być.
Happysad has released nine studio albums, most of which have achieved Gold or Platinum status. The band continues to tour extensively and appear at Poland’s biggest festivals, while maintaining its artistic independence.
You can see and hear these artists on Sunday, August 17, during the evening concerts on the Main Stage of Żagle 2025, running from August 15 to 17. The Main Stage will be located on Jana z Kolna Street.
