Freedom

“Freedom” is a two-masted schooner that has become a symbol of friendship between the ports of Szczecin and Nexø on Bornholm. Although it made its debut at the Szczecin “Żagle” (Sails) quite recently, in 2025, it quickly stole the hearts of residents and tourists – not only with its silhouette but also with its extraordinary hospitality.

On a daily basis, “Freedom” is stationed in the picturesque port of Nexø, where it serves a highly important function: it is used for intensive maneuver training for sailors. Thanks to its agility and well-thought-out design, it is an ideal vessel for learning the difficult art of navigation and deck work in Baltic conditions.

The ship is famous for its unique atmosphere. It was on its deck during last year’s edition that aromatic tea was served, becoming the unofficial hit of the waterfront. The vessel’s return in 2026 is an opportunity to feel this vibe again and see how its training flair combines with joyful, sailing integration.
