They set off from Gda\u0144sk and have just reached Bydgoszcz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It all started with an idea, then came weeks of work, and now\u2026 the time has come for the adventure of a lifetime. A group of 18-year-olds from Gda\u0144sk decided to sail to Szczecin by river on a catamaran of their own design. After months of building, laminating, sanding, gluing, fitting battens, leveling, painting and testing\u2026 the moment finally came \u2014 the first voyage, with the goal of reaching \u017bagle 2025!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On July 1st, the group of young constructors cast off and set course for Szczecin. After the first days of sailing, it turns out their catamaran is performing excellently and is moving according to schedule. The young adventurers headed up the Vistula and have now reached Bydgoszcz. After passing through the Bydgoszcz Canal, they will continue along the Note\u0107 towards Nak\u0142o nad Noteci\u0105, then on through Czarnk\u00f3w, Wiele\u0144, Drezdenko, Gorz\u00f3w, from where they will follow the Warta down to the Oder, visiting Kostrzyn nad Odr\u0105, Krajnik Dolny, Widuchowa and Gryfino, finally arriving in Szczecin for the \u017bagle 2025 event. Sailing Szczecin welcomes them!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The crew consists of seven students from the V High School in Gda\u0144sk \u2014 both third-year and graduating students. Not all of them are avid sailors, but they share a common passion for construction and challenges. They built the catamaran from scratch, often using recycled materials. Both the design and construction of the vessel were carried out 100% independently by the students of V High School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can follow the high schoolers\u2019 journey on their Facebook page <strong>ZRupiecinaSzczecin<\/strong>.
