Victoria was built from oak wood in 1949 at the Bodden Riebnitz-Damgarten shipyard. She originally served as a cutter in a fishing cooperative under the name Merseburg. For many years afterward, she was part of the collection of the Rostock Harbor Museum. In 1999, she was repurchased by master boatbuilder Bodo from Zecherin and restored as a gaff-rigged ketch. In 2013, she found a new owner in Peter Szitariu, a master carpenter from Dresden.
Today, she sails the Baltic Sea as a traditional sailing cutter.
