Music, rhythm, and color – the 8th Wind Orchestra Festival!

Music, rhythm, and color – the 8th Wind Orchestra Festival!

We keep up the pace and present more highlights of the Żagle 2025 program! For the eighth time, the Wind Orchestra Festival for the Mayor’s Cup will take place in Szczecin – an event that has become a permanent feature of this summer celebration.

Żagle is not only about beautiful vessels on the water – it’s also about unique sounds and spectacular performances on land. For three days, wind orchestras from Poland and abroad will fill the city with energy, music, and color. Street parades, ceremonial drills, concerts, and competition performances – all this will await residents and visitors of this year’s Żagle.

This year, eight orchestras will perform on the festival stage, showcasing their talents in various parts of the city. As part of the shows, you will see performances by:

  • Youth Wind Orchestra Wasilków – a band with 20 years of artistic experience, known for dynamic concerts and cooperation with the STARS majorette group.
  • Vilnius Pabradė Fanfare Orchestra (Lithuania) – winner of many international competitions, one of the most decorated fanfare bands in the Baltic states.
  • Allegretto Wind Orchestra from Rogoźnik – a young, energetic ensemble awarded in national orchestral competitions.
  • Wind Orchestra in Czajków – with traditions dating back to the 1920s, actively performing and organizing its own music reviews.
  • Youth Wind Orchestra ELEKTRYK from Nowa Sól – celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, Polish Champion in Division III, nominated to participate in the World Championships.
  • Youth Wind Orchestra in Płoty – with over 20 years of experience and significant educational and concert achievements.
  • Wind Orchestra in Środa Wielkopolska – an active ensemble associated with the local Volunteer Fire Brigade, known for impressive outdoor concerts and ceremonial drills.
  • Wind Orchestra Okulice – one of the oldest in the lineup, with 85 years of tradition and numerous national successes.

Each performance will be a unique, colorful spectacle – full of joy, sound, and fun.
