During Żagle 2025, the right side of the boulevards by the Dźwigozaury will turn into a kingdom of science, fun, and… tap water! From Friday to Sunday, between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM, the ZWiK Zone will offer science shows with water, fountains of liquid nitrogen, and water-themed gadgets to delight the youngest visitors.
Science can be spectacular, engaging – and quite literally – explosive. In the ZWiK Zone, water will no longer be just an everyday drink – it will become the star of a show captivating both children and adults. Visitors will meet a “mad scientist” with incredible demonstrations: big explosions, nitrogen fountains, cannon blasts, nitrogen puffs, and surprising phenomena that seem to defy the laws of physics – all without complicated formulas, but with lots of laughter and shared fun. Using liquid nitrogen and water, we’ll create true scientific fireworks, proving that physics and chemistry can be far from boring.
That’s not all – there will also be water toys to bring refreshment on hot days and plenty of laughter. And when the excitement heats up, everyone will be able to enjoy fresh, healthy, tasty, and completely free tap water right there in the ZWiK Zone.
We invite entire families – from Friday, 15 August to Sunday, 17 August, daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM – to the right bank by the Dźwigozaury.
A Source to Quench Your Thirst
During Żagle, the Szczecin Water and Sewerage Company (ZWiK) will be present throughout the event area. Without water, neither the ships, the organisers, the residents, nor the tourists could function. That’s why ZWiK ensures a constant supply of drinking water for all moored vessels. It also supports the event by filling water tanks for organisers to secure the stages.
The sailing weekend is expected to be very hot, with temperatures reaching up to 30°C. Bring your bottles and drink tap water freely – let’s care for the environment and enjoy the fun together.
During the festival, residents and tourists will be able to use five water fountains:
Additionally, in case of high temperatures, water misters will be set up. Event staff will use refillable bottles to avoid purchasing large amounts of plastic bottles – an eco-friendly, economical solution that promotes drinking Szczecin’s tap water.
