Port macierzysty: Szczecin
Research and Training Vessel of the Maritime University of Szczecin
The vessel was built at the Gdańsk Ship Repair Yard with funding from donor contributions. It was launched in May 1997, with Jolanta Kwaśniewska, wife of the then President of Poland, serving as the ship’s godmother. The ceremonial flag-raising took place on January 30, 1998. Nawigator XXI is the ship where students experience their first contact with the sea. Here, they learn navigation, machinery operation, equipment handling, and life aboard ship — everything that awaits them in their future maritime careers.
This year marks the vessel’s 25th anniversary.
